Age Limit, Educational Qualifications

The 67th BPSC notification will contain the detailed eligibility criteria to appear for the BPSC exam.

There are 4 criteria.

BPSC Eligibility Criteria 2022: Age

The BPSC Age Limit for General Category male competitors is:

Minimum age – 20 years

Maximum age – 37 years

General Female/ OBC/ OBC (Male/Female) – 40 years

SC / SC (Male/Female) – 42 years

The age limit and additional BPSC eligibility criteria differ for different services, and categories primary of them are listed in the table below:

Important points regarding BPSC 2022 Age Limit:

  • As per official rules, there is no constraint on the number of attempts as long as candidates’ age criteria are crossed.
  • For government representatives who have been in continuous service for at least three years:
  • The number of Attempts is three.
  • Rest in Upper Age Limit is of 5 years.
  • For Persons with Disability (PwD), the higher age limit is relaxed by ten years.
  • Ex-servicemen, under the age of 53 to 55, can avail BPSC age relaxation of three years plus the number of years in service.

BPSC 2022: Educational Qualification

As per the BPSC Eligibility Criteria, education qualification is broadly classified into two classes:

  • A Graduate Degree from a recognized University or
  • An equivalent qualification

The Physical Eligibility Criteria:

Bihar Police Service

Minimum Height criteria

Chest
  • SC/ST – 5 feet 3 inches.
  • For General Category Male – 5 feet 5 inches
  • Women candidates – 5 feet 2 inches
  • SC/ST (Male) is 31 inches
  • General category (Male) is 32 inches
